namibia desert
Namibia

Namibia, the "living desert," is a unique landscape, with the highest sand dunes and driest deserts, but inland you'll find verdant game parks with a boggling array of elephants, giraffes, ostriches, lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, and rare endangered black and white rhinos.

Kids will have fun learning about African animals, especially footprints and other tracking signs. Also, since Namibia is in the southern hemisphere, summer (their winter) is a great time to visit.
